    PLAYBACK THEATRE ENSEMBLE

  •

    MISSION

Provide Time and Space for Deep Listening and Honest Conversation

    VISION

That Playback Theatre brings Wellness to All

    VALUES

    Adaptability, Community, Trust, Sincerity

    STAYING LOCAL WHILE GOING GLOBAL

The three circles in our logo represent social interaction, ritual and artistry.

‘Kopi’—the local term for coffee—reflects our roots in community and connection.

We aim to bring together playback beginners and veterans to learn, grow, and serve as one.

Our members collaborate with practitioners, organizations, and communities both locally and abroad to host workshops, gatherings, and performances.

3 Cups has been featured in Lianhe Zaobao (Singapore’s leading Chinese language newspaper)

and Rice Media (a platform for alternative Southeast Asian voices).

    Firdaus Masrani

Fir does Playback Theatre as a fun blend of social work and the arts, holding space for stories while turning them into something meaningful on stage. It’s his way of connecting with people, building empathy, and adding a bit of heart.

    June Wang

June found playback theatre almost by accident. Guided by curiosity and emotion, she sees it as a space where people connect beyond roles and identities, where stories reveal our shared humanity. She approaches each story with patience and openness, still discovering what it means to bring one to life. Outside the theatre, she is often in conversation, at choir rehearsals, or quietly reflecting on moments that stay.
